| Practice Principal - Roger Baker |
 |
Roger was born in Whitstable, can just remember the 1953
flooding of the town and apart from six year at the Royal
Veterinary College in London, has spent his entire life in
the Whitstable area.
He started the Practice in 1973 and moved it to the present
location in Cromwell Road in 1976.
Roger has much experience in Animal Welfare and was deeply
involved in the introduction of the Pet Passport scheme permitting
animals to travel where appropriate without the need for quarantine,
as well as animal welfare matter in general.

| Practice Manager - Gill May |
 |
Gill has lived in Whitstable for over 30 years and before
joining the practice in 1983. Since that date Gill has overseen
the vast development of veterinary care and facilities within
the Practice.
The increase in bureaucracy which has enveloped every small
business in the last few years has meant that Gill has moved
to an administrative workload rather than concentrating on
reception as in the past and has now taken up the post of
Practice Manager. |
Nursing Staff |
| Selina Jackson |
 |
Selina first joined the practice in 1985 and what was initially
a two week work experience from school ended up as a 19 year
employment. There were two short breaks, as the years passed,
to send some time with her two children. Selina is a qualified
First Aider.
Selina’s main task is to oversee the other nursing
staff and assist with the paperwork and organisation within
the practice. |
| Nikki Wingrove |
 |
Nikki joined the Practice in 1999 after a short spell in
adult education.
Nikki is working her way through her veterinary nurse training
and plays a pivotal role within the practice training new
staff and taking on responsibilities for many health and safety
issues. |
| Kealey O’Hanlon |
 |
Kealey joined the practice in 2009 after university at
Canterbury. She is a keen sports player and is developing
her nursing and veterinary skills along with her football
skills.
As the third member of the nursing team Kealey now faces
the daunting task of developing skills and knowledge that
are required as a member of our nursing and patient support
team. |
| Corrinne Mills |
 |
Corrinne first joined the practice in 1987 and after being
a part time member of the practice graduated to a full time
post in 2007.
She is now responsible for night care services within the
practice ensuring that any patient that is hospitalised over
night receives constant care and attention. |
| Carol Jefferson |
 |
Carol joined the staff in 2006 to take over the main Reception
duties at the “front of house” face for clients.
This position often requires considerable tact and patience
and her previous employment in the healthcare insurance industry
provided an extremely good training ground for working in
the Practice.
